After taking the first two games of the series the Piedmont College baseball team fell to Great South Athletic Conference host Huntingdon College this afternoon in Montgomery, AL by the score of 5-0. The Lions were held scoreless for only the second time all season in the defeat.
PC moves to 14-11 overall and 2-1 in the Great South Athletic Conference. The Lions will look to rebound on Friday, April 3rd as they travel to in-state rival Emory University in Atlanta, GA for a 3:00 matchup.
Piedmont fell behind in the first inning as the Hawks plated a single unearned run on two errors. The home team would tack on a pair of runs in the fourth and sixth inning respectively which proved to be more than enough offense.
The Lions threatened the entire day but could not plate any of the 11 runners left on base.
JARED MOON and
BRANDON HITCH posted a pair of hits each to lead the offense.
ANDY GRAF took his first loss of the season going six innings allowing four earned runs while
