Greensboro, NC --
The Piedmont College men's soccer team dropped its second overtime match of the season this afternoon to non-conference host Greensboro College by the score of 4-3. After rallying from down 3-1 in the second half the Lions gave up a penalty kick game-winner five minutes into the second extra frame to drop the decision.

The loss slides the men to 4-4-1 overall. The Lions will look to rebound on Wednesday, October 7th as they travel to NAIA Southern Wesleyan University in Central, SC for a 7:00 kickoff.

GC took command of the match with a pair of goals at the 15th and 18th minute respectively. The Lions Jeremy Stille answered with an unassisted break away goal at the 37th minute but the home-standing Pride quickly answered with another goal six minutes later.

In the second frame PC used another goal from Stille less than one minute in. Fellow senior Jorge Pradilla found the equalizer with five minutes remaining in regulation sending the match into overtime. After a scoreless first frame GC connected on the penalty kick after a PC foul on a breakaway sealing the match and it's first win of the season in the process.

The Lions were outshot on goal 8-6 and could only force three corner kicks. Piedmont now stands at 1-1-1 on the road and 3-3 in one-goal decisions.
