Lookout Mountain, GA -- The Piedmont College men's soccer team traveled to non-conference host Covenant College this afternoon and fell by the score of 6-0. The shutout loss is the first of the season for the Lions and improves the NAIA Scots to 8-4-2 overall.

PC slides to 7-8-1 overall and will return to the pitch again on Sunday, November 1st as they host Rust College at Walker Field beginning at 3:00. Prior to the match the Lions will recognize the 2009 senior class for their years of service to the program.

The Scots controlled the action from the onset and cruised to the six-goal victory. The goals allowed marked a season high for Piedmont.

The Lions, who are currently 3-3 in matches following a loss, will look to rebound on Sunday in the final tune up before the Great South Athletic Conference Tournament on November 6th and 7th hosted by Maryville College in Maryville, TN.
