Demorest, GA -- The Piedmont College volleyball team picked up its fourth Great South Athletic Conference victory this evening at Cave Arena defeating Huntingdon College in straight sets 3-0. In the seven wins against conference opponents this season the Lady Lions have not dropped a single set.
The women controlled the match from the onset and took the games by the scores of 25-18, 25-19 and 25-15. The Lady Lions committed only 10 errors and hit at a 38% clip.
Senior
Nikki Cole led the balanced attack with a match high 13 kills. Haylee Jerkins added eight kills while
Heather Stafford posted six kills with zero errors.
Tyler Baldonado earned a match-best 38 assists while
Jennifer Granlund tallied a team-best 14 digs.
The victory moves the Lady Lions to 15-7 overall and 4-1 in the Great South. The women will return on short rest tomorrow, October 17th as they welcome LaGrange College to Cave Arena starting at 2:00.
