Volleyball Team Earns First GSAC Victory Of The Season

Sophomore Ashley Chima recorded a season-high 11 kills and lead the Piedmont College volleyball team past Great South Athletic Conference host Agnes Scott College tonight in Decatur, GA. PC won their first GSAC match of the season in straight sets by the scores of 30-15, 30-23 and 31-29.

The victory marks the seventh road victory for the Lady Lions this season and the fourth time they have needed only three games. PC now stands at 8-4 overall and 1-1 in the Great South Athletic Conference, and knocked Agnes Scott to 1-7 overall and 0-2 in conference play.

Nikki Cole continued her impressive freshman campaign notching 10 kills, her fourth double-digit output this season. Meghann Clark and Sarah Lane chipped-in with seven and six kills respectively and B.J. Ostrzycki accumulated 31 assists.

Piedmont will return to action again on Wednesday, September 27th as they play host to Oglethorpe University in the Johnny Mize Athletic Center beginning at 7:00.
