After a dramatic game one come-from-behind victory the Piedmont College baseball team was defeated by Great South Athletic Conference host LaGrange College this afternoon by the score of 11-4. PC was outhit 13-9 and allowed four and five runs in the fifth and sixth innings en route to the defeat.
Cole Spedale led the Lions at the plate going 3-4 with a run scored and a stolen base. Evan Nissley added a 2-3 day with a run scored and Justin Oates went 1-4 with a run scored.
PC allowed eight unearned runs and could not overcome the big deficit. The Lions now stand at 24-15 overall and 9-2 in the Great South Athletic Conference. These two teams will meet in the rubber game tomorrow, April 23rd at 1:00 with the winner claiming the GSAC regular-season title.
