The Piedmont College men's soccer team defeated visiting Great South Athletic Conference opponent LaGrange College on Walker Field tonight by the score of 3-0. Josh Seabrook netted the eventual game-winning goal at the 9:00 mark on an assist from Drew Griffin.
After taking a 1-0 lead into halftime, PC added a pair of insurance goals in the second half. Scoring first at the 55:00 mark was Drew Griffin on an assist from Patrick Kaminski.
The third goal came at the 82:00 mark and was scored by senior Diego Montoya on a penalty-kick. Patrick Ratigan recorded his third shutout between the posts by saving four shots on goal.
The Lions dominated time of possesion and outshot LaGrange 11-4 and held the slight advantage in corner kicks 5-4.
The victory moves the Lions to 4-6 overall and 2-1 in the GSAC. Piedmont will compete again on Wednesday, September 28th as they travel to conference opponent Huntingdon College in Montgomery, AL with game-time scheduled for 4:30 CST.
