The Piedmont College men's soccer team defeated visiting Toccoa Falls College tonight at Walker Field by the score of 6-1 as four different Lions netted goals. The win places the men at an even 6-6 overall for the first time since September 3rd.
Drew Griffin led the Lions with his second hat-trick of the season with three goals and an assist. George Sandi (pictured) and Paul Mitchell recorded their first goals of the season and Rob Nix also added a goal. Patrick Ratigan was again dominate in goal allowing only one goal on seven shots.
PC outshot their opponent 18-7 and also held the edge in corner kicks at 6-3. The Lions outscored Toccoa Falls 4-1 in the second half to improve their season total to 20-13 over opponents after intermission.
Piedmont returns to action again on Tuesday, October 11th a they travel to Great South Athletic Conference opponent LaGrange College in LaGrange, GA with game time scheduled for 7:30.
