Monti Hendrix

Monti Hendrix enters her second season as assistant women's lacrosse coach in the fall of 2025 after joining the team in the summer of 2024. She joined Piedmont following an extensive coaching career in the state of Georgia. Hendrix previously owned and directed Axis Lacrosse in Suwanee, leading the business while serving as head coach of the program as well.

In her first season with the Lions, Aly Reece became the program's all-time leader in assists while Merryn Bumpass put herself atop the career mark in goals scored. Piedmont posted a 13-6 record overall with an 8-1 mark in league play reaching the USA South semifinals.

During her time running Axis Lacrosse, Hendrix assisted student-athletes with following strength and conditioning schedules as well as helping establish recruiting tactics and avenues for prospective student-athletes.

In Suwanee, Hendrix currently serves as a lacrosse instructor and the head women's trainer with Elevate Lacrosse. In her roles there, she provides training instruction and motivation while helping elevate skills development and mental toughness.

She also has experience as a head coach at North Gwinnett Lacrosse Association from 2022-2023 and Flames Lacrosse in Fayetteville, North Carolina in 2020.

Her coaching career began with the Blackhawks in Buford where she served as a volunteer assistant coach in the summer of 2016.

Her familiarity with the Lions comes from her own collegiate playing days where she was a midfielder for Methodist, a fellow USA South member. She served as a team captain for three years and holds a pair of program records for most draw controls in a single season (123) and most draw controls in a career (279).

In her collegiate career, she was a three-year starter and earned USA South Rookie of the Year in 2017. She was a two-time first-team All-Conference selection in 2017 & 2018. She was also a member of the SAAC executive board and the Black Student Union.

Hendrix earned her bachelor's in kinesiology from Methodist in 2020 and graduated with her master's degree in biopsychology in 2022.
