Josh Kles

Josh Kles joined Piedmont University as an Assistant Track & Field Coach in the fall of 2025, bringing more than eight years of collegiate coaching experience and a proven record of developing high-level throwers. Before arriving at Piedmont, Kles served on the staff at Lindsey Wilson College, where he coached an All-American, four national qualifiers, and numerous athletes who achieved personal bests and national rankings.

During his tenure at Lindsey Wilson, Kles designed and implemented strength and conditioning programs for throwers and multiple event groups, specializing in Olympic lifting, plyometrics, speed development, mobility training and injury-prevention strategies. He also oversaw performance tracking and athlete load management, creating individualized plans to maximize development throughout the season.

A s a student athlete, Kles was a school record holder at Lindsey Wilson in the shot put, discus and hammer throw. He was also a two-time NAIA Indoor and two-time NAIA Outdoor national qualifier in the shot put (2013 and 2015).

Kles is currently completing his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification and is CPR/AED certified. He holds a bachelor of arts in business administration with a management emphasis and a minor in communication from Lindsey Wilson.
