Hannah Satterfield heads into her fourth season at Piedmont as Head Women's Golf coach in the fall of 2025. She came to Piedmont from Tallulah Falls School as a local to the area and familiar with Piedmont's own home course, The Orchard Golf and Country Club.
In her first three seasons leading the Lions, Satterfield helped guide Erin Donovan to numerous awards including USA South Rookie of the Year (2023-24), USA South Player of the Year (2023-24 & 2024-25) and becoming Piedmont's first-ever qualifier for the NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championship. In her first appearance at the NCAA DIII Championship, Donovan not only made the cut but finished tied for 11th overall in the event.
Donovan became the first women's golf athlete to earn two USA South Golfer of the Year accolades to go along with a Rookie of the Year honor in a career. She qualified for the DIII National Championship two years in a row and earned WGCA All-American honors in both 2023-24 & 2024-25.
As a freshman, Donovan picked up a staggering eight USA South Rookie of the Week awards and was an All-USA South First Team selection. As a team, Satterfield helped the Lady Lions twice break the program record for Low-54 hole total in the fall.
She joined Piedmont's staff after spending three years on staff at Tallulah Falls School serving as head of golf at both the middle school and high school level. Satterfield spent the 2019-20 and 20-21 seasons leading the middle school golfers before stepping into the role as Head of Golf for the high school for the 21-22 academic year.
Satterfield took over a varsity girls program fresh off a state runner-up finish as well as an area championship in 2021.
In her role with Tallulah Falls, Satterfield oversaw the team and developed golf specific workout programs including pre-season, in-season and post-season specific workouts. She also created individualized practice plans to refine athlete strengths and improve weaknesses. While at Tallulah Falls, Satterfield served as a sixth grade science teacher.
She also assisted junior golfers during summer camp at The Orchard Golf and Country Club and was the coach of the PGA junior golf league competition team.
Satterfield was a three-sport athlete herself at White County, competing in golf, softball and basketball. While pursuing her degree at Truett McConnell, she was a member of the golf team that had many record-breaking seasons.
A native of Georgia, Satterfield earned her undergraduate degree in 2019 from Truett McConnell in Exercise Science and her master of arts in teaching from Georgia College and State University in May 2022.
