Mario Dalesandro enters his third season with the Piedmont College Athletic Training staff in the fall of 2020. Dalesandro works primarily with men's and women's cross country, men's and women's track & field, and softball.
Dalesandro came to Piedmont after spending the 2017-18 year at Coastal Carolina as an athletic trainer where he worked with the football and track and field teams. He oversaw evaluations and rehabilitation for all athletes and helped organize and provide athletic training services for a pair of track & field meets.
Dalesandro also worked previously as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer with the West Virginia University Club Sports and Intramurals. He served as the primary athletic trainer for men’s rugby, men’s hockey, and men’s lacrosse including covering the 2016 men’s rugby 7’s national tournament in Cary, North Carolina.
He also served as a preceptor for undergraduate students of the Athletic Training program while on staff at West Virginia. During his graduate assistantship, Dalesandro also worked at HealthWorks Rehabilitation and Fitness conducting concussion and post-surgical rehabilitation and spent a semester working at the Hangar Clinic.
Dalesandro earned valuable experience as a student athletic trainer at Concordia University Wisconsin during his undergraduate career from 2012-2015. He worked with several sports including traveling and attending all men’s lacrosse contests during his senior season.
Dalesandro earned his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Concordia University of Wisconsin in 2015. He added his Masters in Athletic Training from West Virginia University, graduating in 2017.
Dalesandro is certified through the BOC and licensed as an Athletic Trainer. A member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA), he also retains certification with the American Heart Association. Dalesandro also obtained a Graston Level 1 Certification during his time at WVU.
