In Track & Field
As a Junior (2015-16): Competed in the indoor 3000m and 1-mile with his best time of 3000m coming at the Gamecock Indoor Invitational (10:04.64) and best 1-mile at the Tiger Indoor Invitational (5:08.48)…Raced the outdoor 5000m four times during the season with his personal best coming at the Emory Invitational (17:22.35).
In Cross Country
As a Junior (2015): USA South Conference Team Champions…Competed in each of the eight meets of the season in the Green and Gold…Finished 16th in the USA South Conference Championship Meet with a time of 29:21.80 good for Piedmont’s #5…His time in the championship meet marked a season-best...Finished in the top five for Piedmont four times in 2015…Helped his team to a conference title and school record with the fastest team average set at 28:41.04 at the USA South Championship Meet, topping the time of 29:00 that was set one year ago on the same course.
As a Sophomore (2014):  Raced in all eight meets of the season for Piedmont…Dropped below 30:00 in an 8k for the first time in his career at the Berry Invitational with a 29:45.50…Finished in 8th overall at the conference championship meet, earning second team all-conference honors, his best finish of his career with a personal best time of 29:09.44…Helped his team to a second place finish in the league...Part of the men's team that set the school record with the fastest team average time ever at 29:00 and had all five Lions across the line under 30:00 for the first time.
As a Freshman (2013):Â Participated in six races during the fall for the Lions...Fall season highlighted by finishing 14th in the USA South Conference Championships with a time of 30:08.7...Competed in the NCAA Division II South/Southeast Region Cross Country Championships and earned a time of 30:36.3.
Prep & Personal: Parents are Tami and Charles McClung of Commerce, Georgia…Born January 14th, 1995…Graduated from East Jackson Comprehensive High School in 2013…Has two sisters, Maggie and Della…Was a Beta Club member in high school, also an Honors Graduate and member of the FBLA…Now majoring in Biology at Piedmont…Also competed in Track & Field at East Jackson…Worked under Coach Tomy Sitton…Personal best 5K time was 18:04…Also an Eagle Scout.
