FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - The USA South Athletic Conference released its 2026 Women's Golf Pre-Championship poll on Friday afternoon, with the Lions picked second.
Defending champions Huntingdon were in the top spot, taking home 6-of-8 first-place votes and 48 points.
The No. 2 through No. 4 spots were bunched tightly, with Piedmont taking second with 38 points and one first-place vote, just ahead of Methodist, which tallied 37 points.
Southern Virginia took the final first-place vote and 34 points.
Rounding out the listing saw Pfeiffer (26) take fifth, Meredith (18) in sixth, LaGrange (15) in seventh and William Peace (8) in eighth.
Erin Donovan will look for her second USA South Individual Conference Title, as she took home the 2024 championship by seven strokes after firing a final round 69. She is a two-time USA South Player of the Year and a four-time All-USA South First Team selection and finished second in the event last season.
As a team, the Lions took home second place at the 2025 USA South Conference Tournament, finishing behind the Hawks and one stroke ahead of Methodist.
The 2026 USA South Women's Golf Tournament will be hosted at Carolina Trace Golf Club in Sanford, North Carolina. The three-day, 54-hole event will begin on Monday, April 20 and conclude Wednesday, April 22. For more information, including a link to live results view the USA South Tournament Website.
