JEKYLL ISLAND, Ga. - Piedmont women's golf improved on its first round, moving up the leaderboard after the second round of the Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational was completed on Saturday in Jekyll Island, Georgia.

All five Lions improved or equaled their scores from Friday's first round. It was a consistent performance across the board, with all counting scores within a three shot range.

Piedmont posted three rounds in the 70's, led by Erin Donovan and Lila Polakowski's 6-over 78's. Polakowski led the team with three birdies on her round, including back-to-back on the par-5 15th and par-4 16th. The freshman from Canton, Michigan played her final four holes in 2-under par.

Donovan improved on her first round by two shots, with only one hole worse than bogey and one birdie, on the par-5 15th.

Keegan Goins improved on her first round by a single shot, breaking 80 with a second round of 7-over 79 that included a pair of birdies.

Freshman Addison Maney tied Polakowski for the team lead with three birdies, posting an 81 to match her opening round score.

Marissa Weaver made a five-stroke improvement on her first round, breaking 90 with a round of 86 that did not count toward the team score.

Up next, the Lions will take on the final 18 holes tomorrow.
