2026 Women's Basketball Senior Spotlight

These seven seniors have helped the Lions to 64 overall wins and 44 conference victories over the past four seasons. Last season, this group helped lead the Lions to a 14-2 CCS record and a CCS Regular Season Championship before validating it with a Conference Tournament Title as well, cutting down the nets at Cave Arena and earning a spot in the NCAA DIII National Tournament. Off the court, the group has combined for 12 CCS All-Academic Team Appearances.

Ava Hunter
Ava Hunter - Senior Spotlight

Hunter has played in 45 games and made seven starts over two seasons with the Lions. She has tallied nearly 400 pts over those two seasons, also approaching 20 rebounds and blocking 35 shots. Ava has posted a pair of career double doubles. Last season, she dropped a career-high 27 points in a crucial road win for the Lions at LaGrange, proving pivotal in the team’s CCS Regular Season Title. Off the court, Hunter has become involved on campus, serving as the President of SAAC. Hunter plans to graduate with a degree in exercise science.

Brooklyn Begley - Senior Spotlight

Begley has appeared in 72 contests and made one start over her four seasons at Piedmont. She has totaled over 350 career points, over 100 rebounds and over 80 three-pointers. Always a threat from beyond the arc, Begley leads the team this season in three-pointers made after finishing second on the team last season. She caught fire in a home win last season over Agnes Scott, scoring a career-high 24 points on six three-pointers. Off the court, she has been named to the CCS All-Academic Team. Begley plans to graduate with a degree in nursing.

#4 HAYLEY BORINO | HIGHLANDS, N.C.
Hayley Borino
Hayley Borino - Senior Spotlight

Borino has played in 71 games and made 33 starts in four seasons in the green and gold. A staple in the backcourt, Hayley has tallied over 300 points, over 135 assists and nearly 100 steals. Steadily running the offense, she is 2nd on the team in assists this season and ranked third last season. In last season’s CCS/SAA Classic, she delivered one of the more dramatic moments in recent Piedmont women’s basketball history, swishing home a game-winning buzzer beater from long range to give Piedmont a win at Sewanee. In the classroom, Hayley has been a CCS Academic All-Conference honoree three times. Borino plans to graduate with a degree in business management.

Kennedi Henson - Senior Spotlight

Henson has appeared in 55 contests and made 29 starts over three seasons at Piedmont. She has recorded over 230 career points, nearly 250 rebounds and nearly 100 assists. Henson announced her presence early in her time at Piedmont, scoring a career-high 16 points in her first game for the Lions, while also grabbing six rebounds and totaling three steals in a win over Greensboro at the 2024 Jean Beamer Tipoff Classic. Her outstanding performance the next day earned her a spot on the All-Tournament Team as the Lions captured the tournament title. Off the court, Kennedi has been named to the CCS All-Academic Team twice. Henson plans to graduate with a degree in business administration with a specialization in finance.

Riley Bryan
Riley Bryan - Senior Spotlight

Bryan has played in 93 games and made 35 starts over four seasons in Demorest. She has tallied over 450 career points, over 250 rebounds and over 75 steals. She has been a force on the defensive side this season, ranking second on the team with over 40 steals. Earlier this season, Riley delivered a dynamic offensive performance, scoring a career-best 20 points in a home win over Sewanee at the CCS / SAA Classic. Off the court, Bryan is a three-time CCS All-Academic Team member. She plans to graduate with a degree in exercise and sports science.

#15 KELSEY BANKS | DEMOREST, GA.
Kelsey Banks
Kelsey Banks - Senior Spotlight

Banks has appeared in 74 games and made 14 starts over four seasons with the program. She has tallied over 295 career points, over 100 rebounds and entered today’s play with 50 career three-pointers. Last season, she was nearly automatic from the free throw line, making 24 out of 26. She also had seven double figure scoring performances during Piedmont’s conference championship season, including a career-high 16 points at Belhaven. In the classroom, Kelsey is a three-time CCS Academic All-Conference honoree. Banks plans to graduate with a degree in nursing.

Gracie Deetz
Gracie Deetz - Senior Spotlight

In just one season for the Lions, Deetz has made an immediate impact, appearing in 21 games and making 10 starts coming into play today. She has made her presence felt, scoring over 200 points, grabbing over 130 rebounds while also recording over 20 assists, steals and blocks. Gracie has tallied three double doubles this season and scored a season-high 24 points in a conference home win over Huntingdon in January. Deetz plans to graduate with a degree in psychology.
