WHAT'S UP NEXT:
- Some non-conference action with Warren Wilson on the road on Wednesday before Piedmont plays host to conference foe LaGrange College on Thursday evening at home with a 7 pm kickoff.
TURNING POINT:
- The Hawks got the only goal they needed in the 37th minute when All-Region selection Shaylinn McFarland broke free on the right side and put a deflected shot across the box that fooled the back four for Piedmont and found the back of the net.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Huntingdon notched their first win over the Lions in the last 20 seasons as Piedmont was previously unbeaten against the Hawks in the last 23 matches the two sides played.
- Piedmont outshot the visitors 13-8, but the Lions are 0-2 the last two times they have won the shot count and failed to win on the scoreboard.
STANDOUT PERFORMANCES:
- Huntingdon's McFarland is really the only one that should be mentioned as she notched the only goal of the day to give her team the win.
