DEMOREST, Ga. - Megan Steinmeyer had an outing to remember on senior day with a no-hitter highlighting Piedmont's doubleheader sweep of Agnes Scott. The Lions won 8-0 in the first contest in six innings and took a 15-1 decision in five in game two.

Game 1: Piedmont 8, Agnes Scott 0 F/6

Game one was flying by with just one base runner until the bottom of the third inning. Piedmont was able to plate two runs after three singles in the inning to take a 2-0 lead.

The Lions added one more in the fourth before a pair in the fifth made it 5-0 Lions. The Scotties' only other base runner came in the fifth after a leadoff walk, but Steinmeyer continued to cruise.

Piedmont left no doubt ending the game in six after three runs on five hits in the home half of the sixth to earn the run rule victory.

Game 2: Piedmont 15, Agnes Scott 1 F/5

Agnes Scott was first to strike in game two as they drove in one run on three hits in the first inning. Taylor Spivey was able to work out of a bases loaded jam with just one out to limit the damage.

The Lions were not keen on playing from behind and made quick work to erase the deficit with four runs on four hits and two errors in the home half of the inning.

Piedmont scored four or more in three of the four innings they went to the plate adding five in the second and four more in the fourth.

The Lions totaled 15 runs on 16 hits and seven errors as five Lions had multi-hit games. In total, 10 different Lions recorded a hit with Jasmine Lowery going 3-for-4 with four RBI while Alyssa Jarrett also totaled four RBI as she was 2-for-2.
