SEASON PREVIEW: Women's Tennis

The Piedmont women's tennis team is set to open its 2025 season this weekend at home, hosting Truett McConnell at the Burgen Tennis Courts on campus this Saturday, Feb. 8 at 11:30 a.m.

  • The Lions enter 2025 having won 43 consecutive conference matches, spanning from 2018 through last season.
  • Piedmont is coming off back-to-back CCS conference tournament titles and three consecutive overall tournament titles, having won the USA South Tournament in its final year in the league in 2022.
  • After picking up a pair of dual match wins in the fall over Pfeiffer and LaGrange, the Lions enter the spring slate already with a 2-0 record.
  • Head Coach Trey Martin earned CCS Coach of the Year honors for the second straight season but must replace back-to-back CCS Player of the Year Abbey Grace Venham.
  • Piedmont welcomes new conference challenger Asbury to the CCS. However, the Lions did defeat the Eagles 7-2 on the road last season.
