DEMOREST, Ga. - Piedmont women's basketball punched its ticket to the CCS Tournament Final with a 72-54 win over LaGrange on Friday evening inside Cave Arena.

Despite a slow start, the Lions dismantled the Panthers with a dominant second half to pull away and earn the victory.

CCS Player of the Year Andelin Hill delivered another double-double, with 23 points and 13 rebounds, going 11-for-14 from the free throw line. She was joined in double figures by Nae-Nae Eades with 11 points and Ashley Scott with 10 points.

LaGrange jumped out to a quick 4-0 lead before Piedmont settled in offensively and led 21-20 after the first 10 minutes.

It was a defensive struggle in the second quarter, with the Lions making just 2-of-14 field goals. However, a strong defensive quarter kept them in the game as they trailed 30-27 at the break.

The second half was another story, as Piedmont quickly established control of the game, outscoring the Panthers 45-24 in the second half.

After grabbing just one offensive rebound in the first half, Piedmont pulled down nine in the second half.

With the win, the Lions will play for the CCS Championship for the second time in the last three seasons.

It will mark the first time Piedmont has played for a conference title at home since the 2018-19 season, when it hosted and defeated Berea.

Belhaven won the second semifinal game, 66-60, over Asbury and will play the Blazers on Saturday at 3 p.m. inside Cave Arena.
