2025 Men's Swimming Senior Spotlight

These five seniors have helped establish a championship culture for the Lions over their careers. In the four years these student-athletes have been on campus, Piedmont has posted a 29-4 record and won the Independent South Swimming Conference Championship in 2023-24. Several of these seniors hold school records and their impact on the program is immeasurable. 

Forero has established himself as one of the most dominant men's swimmers in Piedmont history. As it stands, he holds four individual school records and is a part of two school record relay teams. His specialty comes in the distance events as he holds the school record in the 500 free, 1000 free and 1650 free. He also broke the school record in the 400 IM in November at the Small College Championships. He was a CSC Academic All-District selection in 2024 and earned All-Conference honors each of the last three seasons. Forero plans to graduate with degrees in mass communications and sports communications. 

Fortner has made his mark known throughout his career as he holds or is a part of eight school records. Erick holds the school record individually in the 100 breast, 200 breast, 100 IM and 200 IM while being a part of the school record relay teams for hte 400 free, 800 free, 200 medley and 400 medley. He is also a two time CSC Academic All-District selection from 2023 & 2024 and earned Independent South All-Conference honors three times from 2022-2024. Fortner plans to graduate with a degree in biology and minors in chemistry and theatre arts. 

Glynn is a three-time Independent South All-Conference honoree from 2022-2024 and earned a spot on the Independent South All-Academic Team in 2023. He has saved some of his best for last as he set a personal best at the Georgia Small College Championships in November in the 100 back and swam a personal best in the 100 breast against Warren Wilson on Senior Day. Glynn plans to graduate with a degree in biology and a minor in chemistry. 

Kyle is a two-time Independent South All-Academic Team member from 2023 & 2024. He set several personal bests last February at the Independent South Championships including in the 200 back, 100 fly, 200 IM and 400 IM. He also swam a personal best in the 100 IM this past fall. Kyle plans to graduate with a degree in business management and a minor in accounting. 

Draylon is a two-time Independent South All-Academic Team member from 2023 & 2024. He set a pair of personal bests this past fall against Columbia in the 50 back and 50 fly. He also swam a personal best in the 100 IM last season. Draylon plans to graduate with a degree in business management.
