Thompson has made her mark in a short time at Piedmont after transferring into the program last fall playing the final four games of the 2024 season in goal for the Lions before beginning this, her senior season.  Thompson is at her best when the pressure is high posting a career-high 10 saves against 21 shots in last year’s postseason.  She has posted 37 saves and an .804 save percentage in those appearances while amassing nearly 1,000 total minutes minding the net for Coach Timmy McCormack who also coached her as a youth player close to 10 years ago.  Continuing her career with Coach McCormack this season, Thompson has now played in 10 games this season, even scoring her first career goal, participating as a field player and converting a penalty kick chance against Wesleyan.
