WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - Piedmont women's golf completed Round One at the Historic Triangle Invitational on Monday afternoon in Williamsburg, Virginia.
The Lions posted a single round in the 70's, as
Erin Donovan backed up her championship performance at Golfweek with a 5-over round with one birdie.
Junior
Keegan Goins made back-to-back birdies on holes 10 and 11, leading to a 9-over 81.
Rounding out the group on Monday were the freshmen, who all fired rounds in the 80's.
Zoe Shuttlesworth led the group with an 85 highlighted by a birdie a the par-3 17th.
Two-time USA South Rookie of the Week
Aubree Hill delivered the team's final counting score with an 87 while fellow newcomer
Addison Maney carded an 88.
Emory and Carnegie Mellon are tied atop the team leaderboard at 11-over while Carnegie Mellon's Samantha Wang is leading by one shot on the individual side after a 2-under 70 on Monday.
Up next, the Lions will try to climb up the leaderboard as the final round gets underway with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
