LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. - The Piedmont women's basketball team saw its offense go cold on Tuesday night in Lookout Mountain, Georgia falling at Covenant 53-43.

The loss represents Piedmont's lowest offensive output of the season and snapped an 11-game winning streak for the Lions against the Scots.

Piedmont led by five after the opening quarter, but from there Covenant outscored the Lions in each quarter, winning going away with a 16-7 edge in the final quarter.

The Lions led by as many as six points at 21-15 with just over two minutes to play in the first half. However, Covenant cut its deficit to 22-19 going to the break.

The second half was all Scots, as they outscored the Lions 34-21 over the final 20 minutes, including holding Piedmont to just seven points in the final period.

Laken Stiles was the lone Lion to reach double figures, scoring 10 points.

Overall, the Lions were held to under 30 percent shooting and connected on just 1-of-11 from beyond the arc.

TURNING POINT:
- Covenant's Breezy Savage knocked down a three-pointer in the closing seconds of the third quarter to give the Scots the lead for good.
