ATLANTA - The Collegiate Conference of the South as announced its 2024 Men's Cross Country Championship and three Lions earned recognition.
Following his individual win, senior
Walker Capelle earned first team honors along with
Layton Bradford, who placed second in the event. Fellow senior
Tucker Cox parlayed an eighth place finish into All-CCS Second Team honors.

Of Note: Capelle put an exclamation mark on a fantastic senior season on Friday, narrowly finishing ahead of his teammate Bradford to become Piedmont's first ever CCS Men's Cross Country Individual Champion. He set a new school record in the 8k at the Roanoke XC Invitational earlier this season and was a CCS Runner of the Week three times.

Of Note: Cox continued his remarkable consistency this season, delivering an All-CCS Second Team performance for the third consecutive season. He was third among all Piedmont runners this season, delivering an eighth-place finish to help lead Piedmont to second overall in the event.
