STATESBORO, Ga. - Piedmont head women's basketball coach
Jamie Purdy added yet another accolade to her decorated career as she was inducted into the 2024 Statesboro Athletic Hall of Fame Class. Purdy (Childs) was a star multi-sport athlete in her high school career at Statesboro High.
Purdy is also a member of the Piedmont Athletic Hall of Fame following her career for the Lions in both women's basketball and softball. She was a four-year letter winner in basketball at Piedmont and a two-year letter winner in softball.
She has gone on to have an illustrious coaching career for the Lions posting 347 wins while at Piedmont including six NCAA tournament appearances and six tournament championships across a pair of conferences.

Purdy enters her 20th season as head women's basketball coach at Piedmont in the 24-25 season.
