DEMOREST, Ga. - The Piedmont women's basketball team cruised past Huntingdon in a 97-71 CCS Quarterfinal win on Wednesday night at Cave Arena.
The win moves the Lady Lions into the CCS Semifinals where they will take on No. 2 seed LaGrange on Saturday, Feb. 25 in Berea, Kentucky.
It was a balanced team effort in the 97-point outburst for Piedmont, as 10 different Lady Lions found the scoring column.
ASHLEY SCOTT led the squad with 19 points, connecting on three three-pointers, all of which came in the first half.

NAKIYAH WASHINGTON played an efficient all around game, scoring 13 points on 6-of-9 shooting with six rebounds and three assists.
DESTINY DEETZ continued her strong run of late, adding 13 points herself to go with a team-high seven rebounds.
BENTLEY CRONIC provided scoring punch off the bench with 12 points on 3-of-4 from beyond the arc.
After struggling on the offensive end throughout Saturday's contest, the Lady Lions raced out of the gate with a 26-point outburst in the first quarter. The Lady Lions continued the offensive success the rest of the way, scoring at least 20 points in each quarter.

Already holding a lead going into the second, the Lions used a quick 8-0 burst in the second quarter to push the lead to 37-20. Scott punctuated the strong first half, draining her third three-pointer of the half with 44 seconds left.
The third quarter saw Piedmont continue to extend its lead with a 31-point offensive explosion to take a 23-point lead into the final quarter.

In the final 10 minutes, the Lady Lions fell just short of their quest for 100 points but were never threatened by the Hawks.
