ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Back at Warren Wilson for the second weekend in a row, the Piedmont University men's swim team once again left with two wins, taking down Warren Wilson and William Peace in a double dual. Junior
Erick Fortner broke the school record in the 100 yard IM, setting the new record at 56.17.

Ross Coppedge started the meet with a win in the 200 yard medley relay (1:37.23).

Leandro Forero dominated the 400 yard IM, picking up the win in 4:26.91 and nearly 10 seconds faster than second place. He then dominated the 500 yard freestyle later in the meet, finishing first in 5:05.53.
In the 200 yard freestyle, freshman
Perry Westbrook (1:51.49) bested fellow freshman
Murphy O'Brien (1:55.43) by just under four seconds. Westbrook continued his winning ways later in the day, adding the 100 yard freestyle (49.84) to his list of wins.
Fortner grabbed an individual win in the 50 yard backstroke with a 27.01 while freshman
Alex Pangelinan grabbed second with a 28.19. In addition to the school record and the earlier win, he also secured first in the 100 yard breaststroke (1:00.26)

Obed Miranda joined the win column in the 50 yard breaststroke (28.02), narrowly besting the second place swimmer from William Peace. Miranda and his challenger were separated by just .33 seconds in one of the tightest races of the day.

Eddie Choi picked up an individual win in the 100 yard backstroke, turning in a time of 57.98.
In the final event of the day,
Sam Teed, Westbrook, Leandro, and Borgmann won the 200 yard freestyle relay, besting William Peace by .13 seconds with a 1:31.03.
