From there, the intensity did not drop in the second quarter as PC led by as many as 26 points and took a 45-20 lead into halftime. Overall, the Lady Lions held the Tornados (7-15, 4-11 USA South) to just 23 percent shooting in the first half and knocked down 12-of-16 from the free throw line to remove all doubt from the outcome early.

The Lady Lions led by 28 points early in the third quarter before Brevard used an 11-0 run to cut its deficit under 20 points. However, Washington scored PC's final five points of the quarter to increase the margin to 57-35 heading into the final 10 minutes.

Piedmont cruised through the fourth, leading by as many as 30 points to take its eighth consecutive game heading into its regular season finale.
