DEMOREST, Ga. – The Piedmont College women's basketball team had 15 different players score in an 88-50 rout of Wesleyan on Tuesday night at Cave Arena.

After falling behind 2-0 in the game's first minute, the Lady Lions (8-7, 4-2 USA South) scored the game's next seven points and led by a comfortable margin the rest of the way.

EMILY WILEY was one of two PC players to reach double figures, scoring 10 points in 10 minutes while freshman
NAKIYAH WASHINGTON added 10 in just eight minutes of action.

KELLY ACKERMAN's seven first-quarter points led the way for the Lady Lions to take a 23-12 advantage into the second quarter.

Piedmont effectively put the game away with a 12-0 run to begin the second, capped by a
SARA BETH HANSARD jumper to put the team up 35-12 with 7:27 left in the first half. The Lady Lions continued to increase their lead throughout the period and took a 44-18 advantage into the locker room.

The offense exploded in the third quarter as PC scored 31 points led by a pair of Wiley three-pointers. Freshman guard
MARIA ALLOCCO scored eight points in the period to break into the scoring column as a Lady Lion.

Leading by 43 points going into the final quarter, the Wolves (0-13, 0-5) fought back and outscored Piedmont, 18-13, in the final 10 minutes to hold the final deficit under 40 points.

Up next, the Lady Lions will remain at home to battle Berea this Saturday, Jan. 11 at 2 p.m.
