DEMOREST, Ga. – The Piedmont women's tennis team dropped a non-conference match to the Stormy Petrels of Oglethorpe Thursday 8-1. The lone win for the Lady Lions came at #2 doubles as
CAROLINE CONNELLY and
MAGGIE MOODY won 8-6.
It was another close decision at #3 doubles as Cysalin Gloria and
KARA LANDSIEDEL lost 8-6 while the Stormy Petrels took #1 doubles 8-1.
There were four singles matches that went to three sets as Piedmont took an early lead at #3, #4, and #5 but Oglethorpe would sweep singles play.
MEGAN WALDHEIM, Landsiedel, and Moody all took early leads but fell in three sets.

--The loss snapped a 10-match win streak for the Lady Lions.
