DEMOREST, Ga. – The Piedmont women's tennis team pushed its winning streak to 10 games on Tuesday after defeating Brevard 7-2 on the Burgen Tennis Courts. 

After starting the season with a pair of losses, the Lady Lions have won 10-straight and are a perfect 6-0 in the USA South Athletic Conference. 

Piedmont jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead after cruising through doubles play. 

The #3 team of TATIANA BURKETT and MEGAN WALDHEIM started the match off with an 8-1 win before DURDEN SMITH and MORGAN BUCHHOLZ won 8-2 at #2. 

The #1 team of MAGGIE MOODY and CAROLINE CONNELLY gave Piedmont its third point of the day after winning 8-5.

Piedmont would go on to take four of the six singles matches. 

Smith won the first singles match 6-0, 6-0 at #5 before Buchholz clinched the match with win by forfeit at #1. 

KARA LANDSIEDEL won 6-2, 7-5 at #2 and MAUREEN TRUETT would take a 6-3, 7-5 win at #3 to close the scoring for Piedmont.
