PINE MOUNTAIN, Ga. - The Piedmont College women's golf team started the spring season this weekend in Pine Mountain, Ga. The weather was not favorable in the second round of play and the tournament was canceled after only one round of scoring.
JANA GUY was the leading Lady Lion from round one as she shot an 81 on day one putting her tied for 28th in the 90-player field. Guy finished the opening nine just three over during the first round back in the spring season.
Following one stroke back was
JORDAN ABBOTT. Abbott finished tied for 33rd with her 82 round one score, as she shot five in a row of par or better in the front nine. This ties the second lowest score for Abbott in the 2017-18 season.
KENSLEY BROWN finished the first round shooting a 95 and placing tied for 78th. Brown managed a birdie on the 425-yard par five on the front nine.
Due to the poor weather, the tournament was canceled and any scores from round two will not be counted.
