DECATUR, Ga. – The Piedmont College women's tennis team remains undefeated in USA South play with an 8-1 win over Agnes Scott Tuesday. The lone win for the Scotties came at #5 singles as Piedmont swept through doubles play.
At #1 doubles,
MORGAN BUCHHOLZ and
MEGAN WALDHEIM claimed an 8-5 win with the #3 doubles marking the next closest match as it was an 8-3 win for
CRYSALIN GLORIA and
KARA LANDSIEDEL.
MAGGIE MOODY and
CAROLINE CONNELLY took a straight sets 8-0 win at #2.
Waldheim picked up the first decision in singles play with a 6-0, 6-1 win at #3 followed by Buchholz at #2 winning 6-2, 6-2. Buchholz win at #2 singles clinched the match for the Lady Lions.
CAROLINE CONNELLY earned the win at #1 singles 6-2, 6-1 while
KARA LANDSIEDEL also won by the same score at #4 singles.
The final win of the day belonged to
MAUREEN TRUETT at #6 singles 6-1, 6-4.
