CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. – The Piedmont College women's basketball team was in NCAA Tournament action against the Eagles of Juniata College Friday and the Eagles burst onto the scene and took an early lead to win the contest 63-52 over PC.

The Lady Lions struggled in finding the nylon in the first half as they collected only 14-points in the first twenty minutes.

The Eagles started the scoring in the second half, but the Lady Lions would click with a 12-point run highlighted by two JATASIA BAILEY long balls. The Lady Lions would outscore Juniata 18-10 in the third but the first half deficit would still hold the Eagles in front 51-32.

Bailey would start the fourth with another from 3-point land and a series of four free throws would close the gap to 14. With just over a minute to go, LAKERRA LAWSON would hit a three to put Piedmont down by 11. Juniata would hold down on defense and take the contest 63-52.

Turning Point
--Juniata held PC to only four points in the first quarter while they posted 17. The lead would be enough to hold off a 38-point second half from the Lady Lions.

Standout Performances
--JATASIA BAILEY notched 15-points in the contest all of which came from beyond the arc.
--With 10 rebounds in the game, AMARI PRICE set a new career high.

News & Notes
--This is the second NCAA Tournament showings for the PC seniors as BRIDGETTE KELLY, CARLIE SHIELDS, and DAKOTA SULLENS can each put back-to-back USA South Champions on their resume after their final two seasons with the green and gold.
