After falling behind, 11-2, midway through the first quarter, the Lions ended the period on a 13-2 run to take a two-point lead into the second.

In the second quarter the teams traded big runs with PC jumping out to a game-high 27-18 lead early in the period. However, the Tornados (6-4, 2-3 USA South) rallied back to take a 31-29 lead before the Lions scored the final five points of the half to grab a 34-31 lead heading into the locker room.

Piedmont continued its momentum into the third quarter, using a 13-4 run to take a game-high 12-point lead. Brevard was able to cut into its deficit late in the quarter, but the Lions scored the last four points of the period to take a nine-point edge into the final quarter.

The Lady Lions extended their lead early in the fourth to 16 points and held off the Tornados the rest of the way for the double-digit road win.

Up next, Piedmont will break for the holidays before returning home to Cave Arena to host Truett-McConnell on Saturday, Dec. 15 at 2 p.m.
