DEMOREST, Ga. – The Piedmont women's basketball team had four players score double-digit points in a 76-59 win over Brevard College on Tuesday night inside Cave Arena.
CARLIE SHIELDS and
JATASIA BAILEY led Piedmont with 15 points apiece in the win.
The two teams battled in the first quarter with Piedmont taking a 16-10 lead after the first 10 minutes. The second quarter proved to be the turning point of the game as Piedmont outscored Brevard 26-9 to lead 42-19 at halftime.
Brevard answered back in the third and outscored the Lady Lions 22-16, but the deficit was too much to come back from. Each team scored 18 points in the final quarter.
AMARI PRICE scored 11 points while
RACHEL IRBY added 10 points and six rebounds. Piedmont went 21-of-29 from the charity stripe.

-- The Lady Lions outscored the Tornados 26-9 in the second quarter to lead 42-19 at halftime.
Standout Performances
-- Bailey came off the bench to score 15 points, falling just two points from her season-high.
Inside the Box Score
-- The Lady Lions held Brevard to 19% (4-of-21) from the 3-point line.
-- Shields went 9-of-10 from the free throw line.
