Memphis, TN – The Piedmont women's soccer team earned their third win of the season on Sunday in a 6-0 decision over Millsaps College. The Lady Lions featured four different goal scorers in the shutout victory.
SARAH WEBER scored a hat-trick in the win while totaling only four shots. Weber scored the game's first goal in the eighth minute before putting PC up 2-0 nine seconds later. The junior would add her third goal in the 64th minute to close out the game for Piedmont.
Senior
ERIN BRIGHT scored in the 41st minute off an assist from
COURTNEY BELL to give the Lady Lions a 3-0 lead heading into halftime.
Sunday's offensive performance was fueled by Piedmont's stellar defense. The Majors failed to record a shot and all three goalies were able to see time in the win. Keeper
MIRANDA MCNALLEY was credited with the win. For the season, the freshman has started all four games.
CASSIDY REICH scored early in the second half to extend the lead before
SAMANTHA ISHEE scored in the 56th minute to give Piedmont a 5-0 lead.
Reich finished with one goal and three assists while
CASSIE KIRK totaled two assists.
Turning Point
