Birmingham, AL - The Piedmont College women's golf team finished the BSC Southern Showdown in 5th place Sunday posting a 645 team score in the two round tournament. Junior Kensley Brown earned the top rank for the Lady Lions placing her on the top tournament team as she tied for fifth.
Brown scored a 78 in both rounds, marking the lowest round for the native of Gray, Georgia since joining the Lady Lions. All of the Lady Lions posted in the top 25 in the tournament with
JANA GUY tied for 17th, Jenny Barrett at 20th and Jordan Abbot tied for 23rd.
Both Barrett and Abbott shaved five stroke off of their round one scores. Barrett ended with a 161 on the tournament and Abbott finished with 165.
Standout Performances
--Kensley Brown led the Lady Lions with a consistent 78 in both rounds landing her on the All-Tournament team as well as setting a new personal best in her collegiate career.
