ROME, Ga. - The Piedmont College women's golf team finished the Chick-fil-A Collegiate Invitational Tuesday placing eighth out of 14 teams. Piedmont's team score of 329 was a six stroke improvement to their opening round score giving them a five stroke advantage over Truett McConnell.
Kensley Brown and
JANA GUY each shot a 161 in the two-day event giving them a share of the 20th spot on the leaderboard. Brown shot a 79 in the opening round and an 82 in the second round, and Guy shot an 81 in the opener and an 80 in today's final round.
JORDAN ABBOTT and
JENNIFER BARRETT each shaved off four strokes from their round one scores finishing with 170 and 172 respectively.
Standout Performances
--Kensley Brown and
JANA GUY were PC's low scores as they shared the 20th spot with three non-Piedmont golfers.
