Demorest, GA -The Lady Lions faced USA South opponent Agnes Scott in Cave Arena Sunday winning 61-36 to keep the perfect home streak alive at 8-0 in Cave Arena. 

The opening quarter of the contest began with JATASIA BAILEY knocking down two three pointers less than a minute apart firing up the crowd inside Cave Arena. Halfway through the first quarter, PC had put up twice the points of the Scotties leading 12-6, nearly keeping that pace through the buzzer leading 18-11 after the first quarter.

The Scotties scored first in the second quarter but the Lady Lions responded with a 7 point run ending with BRIDGETTE KELLY sinking a three with just under eight minutes on the clock making it 25-14. Another six points by Piedmont would give them a lead of 12 before Agnes Scott would hit back to back jumpers to close out the first half with Piedmont on top 31-23.

Piedmont came out firing in the third quarter opening up with AMARI PRICE hitting a lay up, intercepting a pass, and hitting another right off the steal. A mid-quarter 13-0 run riddled with threes for the Lady Lions would seal the deal as Piedmont outscored the Scotties 22-6 in the third quarter. Three different players hit threes in the run with ERIN CLIFFORD hitting two and BRIANNA BARRETT and BRIDGETTE KELLY accounting for the other two.

BRITTANY WALKER would hit a lay up in the post to close the third quarter with the Lady Lions leading 53-29. Of Piedmont's 22 points in the third quarter, 15 came from 3-pointers. 

The 22 point third quarter for Piedmont was enough to hold off a comeback from the Scotties as Piedmont took the contest 61-36. 

Turning Point
--The Lady Lions dominated in the third quarter putting up 22 points and holding Agnes Scott to just six points. 

Standout Performances
--Senior ERIN CLIFFORD went 4-of-7 from distance collecting 12 points in the contest.
--Garis Grant for the Scotties posted a double-double in the game with 24 points and 13 rebounds. 

Inside the Box Score
--Over half of the Lady Lions points came off the bench with 31 bench points while the Scotties had no points from bench players.

News & Notes
--The Lady Lions continue the perfect home streak as they are now 8-0 when playing in Cave Arena. 

Up Next
--The Lady Lions will take on conference foe Huntingdon College on January 21 in Cave Arena. Last season when these two teams tipped off in Cave Arena Piedmont took the contest by 10 points.
