Montgomery, AL - Round two of the Montgomery Country Club Invitational marked a momentous occasion for the Lady Lion golf team as Piedmont had its best single-round tournament score since the 2012-13 season turning in a 324. Piedmont's 324 was an improvement from round one as the Lady Lions knocked off 18 strokes from their first day of tournament play to finish 10th.

JANA GUY led the way for Piedmont overall with an 80 on both days scoring a 160 to finish tied for 25th, recording a pair of birdies on the day. Senior ASHTON MAMULA also scored an 80 in round two to end two strokes past Guy with a 162. Mamula also had a birdie on the front nine as the Lady Lions had a total of four birdies Monday. 

CHARLI JUSTICE and KENSLEY BROWN bounced back impressively on day two as each knocked off eight strokes from their first round to card an 82 and finish with a 172 overall. Brown had the other birdie of the day for Piedmont shooting a birdie on 14 as she started the day going one under for the first two holes of competition. 

JENNIFER BARRETT also improved in the second round scoring an 88, three strokes better than her first round score. Barrett was best among the Lady Lions on par 3 holes making par or better on all but one during the tournament including a birdie on hole two in round one. 

Standout Performances
--CHARLI JUSTICE and KENSLEY BROWN both shaved eight strokes off their round one finish to card an 82 in round two. 
--JANA GUY was Ms. Consistent as she had an 80 in both rounds of the tournament.

News & Notes
--This marks Piedmont's best single-round score since 2012-13 when the team carded a 324 at the Methodist Spring Invitational in round two of the tournament.
