Demorest, GA  - JESSICA BAGWELL was the hero in game one as the Lady Lions earned a walk-off victory against Greensboro College 6-5 but the magic couldn't be duplicated in game two as Piedmont split the series with Greensboro dropping the second contest 6-4.

Piedmont led 3-1 after two complete at Walker Athletic Complex but in the fourth inning the Pride tied the game and later took the lead up 5-3 heading to the final three outs for the Lady Lions. LAURA CARTER singled to start the inning followed by JOSIE COKER hitting a single as well.

HANNAH HOBAN walked followed by ABBY SMITH getting walked as well to send in the first run to make it a one run game at 5-4. In the next at bat, Bagwell stepped in facing a new pitcher and crushed one to center field sending home the tying and winning runs to seal the come from behind victory for Piedmont.

Game two was a similar story as the Lady Lions trailed but this time were down early after a two-run home run for Greensboro in the top of the first inning. The Pride had a total of three home runs at Walker Athletic Complex on Sunday.

The Pride led 4-0 heading to the bottom of the fifth when Piedmont got its first run of the game with an inside the park home run by SYDNEY KINARD as she was flying on the basepaths after a rocket to left field. Piedmont added another pair of runs in the frame making it 4-3 with Greensboro still leading but the Pride added a pair of runs in the seventh putting the game just out of reach for the Lady Lions.

Turning Point
--JESSICA BAGWELL's shot in the bottom of the seventh provided the walk-off game-winner scoring a pair of runs on a double to center field.
--An error in the top of the seventh allowed a pair of runs to score for the Pride making it 6-3 and a harder hill to climb for the Lady Lions in game two.

Standout Performances
--LAURA CARTER was 2-for-3 in game one with three runs scored, an RBI and a walk as she scored each time she reached.
--ABBY SMITH was 3-for-4 with two RBI in game two with a pair of singles in the fifth and seventh that each scored a run.

Inside the Box Score
--Greensboro made a change in the circle before Bagwell stepped in as Maddy Wetherholt gave up just one hit but that one was to the only batter she faced as she took the loss in game one but came back to get the win in game two.
--Both teams had the same number of hits in each contest as Greensboro had 10 and Piedmont had nine.

News & Notes
--The loss marks Piedmont's third in conference play as they remain at the top of the league standings.

Up Next
--Piedmont will be in action Saturday taking on LaGrange College at Walker Athletic Complex.
