Rome, GA - The Piedmont College women's golf team made moves on Tuesday to move up the leaderboard and finish in 8th place overall at the Chick-fil-A Collegiate Invitational. The Lady Lions were in 10th place following round one's 354 but posted a team score of 337 in round two of action. 

JANA GUY led the team on day two of competition as she shot a 79, a team low score of the tournament. Guy had one of two birdies for the Lady Lions in round two as she birdied hole five and made par on 10 holes Tuesday. 

CHARLI JUSTICE had the next best round of the day shooting an 85 while ASHTON MAMULA carded an 86 as both improved in round two. Justice took nine strokes off her round one total while Mamula was 12 strokes better on day two with the other birdie of the competition on hole 10.

JENNIFER BARRETT finished second overall for Piedmont with an 87 on day two while KENSLEY BROWN had an 89 in round two. The Lady Lions finished with a team score of 691 finishing in 8th place, just five strokes out of seventh place as Birmingham-Southern recorded a 686. 

Standout Performances
--JANA GUY had a 79 in the second round as the low score of the tournament for Piedmont giving Guy a 167 two-round score.

News & Notes
--Three Lady Lions improved in round two over their opening round score as JANA GUY, CHARLI JUSTICE and ASHTON MAMULA all shaved strokes off their round one score.
