The 2012 USA South Fall Festival will feature the championships of the men's soccer, women's soccer and volleyball Conference Tournaments and take place on Friday and Saturday, November 2-3 in Martinsville, VA. The first rounds of the men's and women's soccer tournaments will begin on campus sites on Saturday, October 27 while all three rounds of the volleyball tournament will occur in Martinsville.  The men's and women's cross country championship is set for Saturday, October 27 at Hagan Stone Park just outside of Greensboro, NC.

The top-eight teams in the sports of men's and women's soccer will qualify for Conference tournament play. Teams advancing past the first round in the sports of men's and women's soccer will head to the Smith River Sports Complex in Martinsville, VA. This is the fourth consecutive year the USA South has held its soccer semifinal and final contests in Martinsville.

The top eight volleyball teams will qualify for the Conference tournament and head to Martinsville's Patrick Henry Community College for the opening, semifinal and final rounds. The matches will take place in Stone Hall on the Patrick Henry campus. This is the first time the USA South has held its volleyball tournament matches in Martinsville.

For the cross country championships, the men's 8K meter race will take place at 11:00 AM followed by the women's 6K meter race at 12:00 noon.

The women's soccer team (13-5-1, 6-4-1 USA South) will enter the tournament as the fifth seed and will travel to Raleigh,  NC on Saturday, October 27 to take on the fourth-seeded Meredith College Angels in quarterfinal action set to start at 2:30 PM.  Meredith scored a 3-2 victory over Piedmont back on September 23 when the Angels used a goal in the final five minutes to secure the home victory.

The men's soccer team (6-9-2, 1-5-2 USA South) qualified for the tournament by virtue of its 2-0 victory over LaGrange Wednesday evening.  The eighth-seeded Lions will now make the trek to Newport News, VA to take on top-seeded and regular-season champion Christopher Newport University.  Game time is set for Saturday, October 27 at 2:00 PM.  Just last weekend the Lions battled the #20-ranked Captains in a 3-2 loss at Walker Field.

The volleyball team (19-10, 5-4 USA South) will wrap up its USA South regular-season play this weekend by hosting Ferrum College and NC  Wesleyan College on Saturday, October 27 with matches beginning at noon in Cave Arena.  One win in either match on Saturday will secure the Lady Lions the fifth-seed in the upcoming championship which will send all eight quarterfinalists to Martinsville on November 2-4.
