Senior Beth Adcock posted 15 points including 3-5 from behind the arc in the Lady Lions' 83-63 victory over Huntingdon in Cave Arena.
The Piedmont College women's basektball team evened up the season series with visiting Great South Athletic Conference member Huntingdon College this afternoon at Cave Arena with an 83-63 victory. The Lady Lions connected on 45% of their shots from the field en route to the 20-point win.

After the visitors took a 12-7 lead Piedmont ran off 21 consecutive points in a five minute span as BETH ADCOCK hit eight points including a pair of three pointers. Huntingdon was unable to cut the lead to single digits for the remainder of regulation and trailed by as many as 26 in the second half.

PC's defense was up to the task holding the Lady Hawks to a mere 21-61 (34%) from the floor. The Lady Lions also found their range connecting on eight tri-fectas compared to the visitors three.

Foul trouble also plagued Huntingdon as the home team knocked down 23 free throws, only two less than the Lady Hawks attempted. The victory improves the women to 5-3 in Cave Arena and marks the sixth time this season the team has broke the 80-point barrier.

Adcock led four teammates in doubel figures with 15 points while LISA JENNINGS added 14 points and six rebounds. COURTNEY ODUM and KAYLA DUNCAN added 13 and 10 points apiece while LAURA SIMMONS chipped in with eight. Lori Bonds led the Lady Hawks with a game high 18 points.

The Lady Lions will return to action again on Monday, February 9th as they travel to GSAC host Spelman College in Atlanta, GA starting at 6:00.
