Ferrum, VA -- In its second consecutive road game against a USA-South Athletic Conference opponent, the Piedmont College women's basketball team was routed 92-41 by host Ferrum College. The Panthers jumped out to a 48-19 advantage at halftime and never looked back for the non-conference win.
The Lady Lions were plagued by 23 turnovers against FC's pressure defense and could only manage to shot 21% from the floor (12-56). The hosts connected on 52% of their shots (32-59) and out-rebounded Piedmont by 22 (50-28).

Lauren Anderson was the only Lady Lion to reach double figures in scoring with a team-best 11 points on 3-7 shooting from the floor. Classmate
Alyssa Jones added nine points and tied with teammate
Amber Satterfield with a team-best five rebounds. Satterfield added eight points on 2-4 shooting from behind the three-point line.
Piedmont, now 0-4 on the young season, will return to action on Tuesday, December 2 when the team travels to Macon, GA to open Great South Athletic Conference play against Wesleyan College with tip off set for 6:00 PM.
