Harriers Compete At Berry College Invitational

Jennifer Gathercoal led the Lady Lions with a 5K time of 23:21 as the team finished in 13th place at the Berry College Invitational.
The Piedmont College men and women's cross country teams competed this afternoon at the Berry College Invitational in Rome, GA. On the men's side MICHAEL FIDERO posted a new personal record while three of the five Lady Lions recorded the best times of their season.

Fidero eclipsed his personal record by 15 seconds with an 8K time of 28:22 placing his 18th out of the 72-runner field. Newcomer MATT COLLINS posted a race time of 33:02, improving nine seconds from his first collegiate meet.

The Lady Lions finished in 13th place of the 14-team field highlighted by JENNIFER GATHERCOAL who notched a 5K time of 23:21. In her first collegiate meet newcomer LISA JENNINGS was second with a time of 25:25 while EMILY WOODWARD closely followed at 26:19. Rounding out the team was ANNA MCCLATCHY and STEFANIE GARRETT with times of 27:55 and 29:09 respectively.

The cross country teams will return to action again on Saturday, September 20th at the Limestone College Invitational beginning at 8:00.
