Forward Jorge Pradille gave his teammates a lift with three goals in the Lions' 5-2 victory over Huntingdon College.
In the first Great South Athletic Conference match of the season the Piedmont College men's soccer team defeated host Huntingdon College this afternoon by the score of 5-2 in Montgomery, AL. Junior JORGE PRADILLA posted the hat trick including the game winner to lead the Lions to their second win of the season.

After 38 minutes of scoreless soccer Pradilla broke the deadlock with his fifth goal of the season. A mere five minutes later freshman RYAN SMITH notched his first career goal for PC making the score 2-0 just before intermission.

The Hawks got within one with a goal five minutes into the second frame, only to be answered 50 seconds later by Pradilla's second and eventual game winning goal. Freshman NICK WEATHERBY tallied his first career goal before HC posted its final goal of the game at the 62nd minute. Pradilla completed the hat trick five minutes later, giving him a season total of seven goals.

The Lions held the advantage in shots on goal 15-6 and posted eight scoring opportunities on corner kicks. Goalkeeper BRIAN GAID was impressive posting four saves and picking up his second victory between the posts in the green and gold.

The victory moves Piedmont to 2-3 overall and 1-0 in the Great South Athletic Conference. The Lions will travel to Millsaps College in Jackson, MS to complete the road trip tomorrow, September 14th beginning at 12:00 CST.
