Jorge Pradilla recorded his fourth career game-winning goal at the 18th minute tonight in the Lions' 4-0 shutout victory over Emroy & Henry College.

In the second of two games at the Nike Kick-Off Classic the Wasps of Emory & Henry College were no match for the high-powered offense of the Piedmont College men's soccer team as the Lions bounced back in style this evening with a 4-0 shutout victory in Maryville, TN. In addition to the onsluaght of scoring opportunities, Piedmont's defense was rock solid allowing only one shot on goal en route to the tournament split.

Rebounding from losses is nothing new to the Piedmont College men's soccer program. Including last season the Lions are an impressive 4-1 in games immediately following a defeat and are averaging more than three goals per contest.

At the 18th minute of tonight's game junior JORGE PRADILLA took a JEREMY STILLE pass and deposited it in the back of the net for the eventual game-winning goal, the fourth of his career. Twenty-five minutes later Stille joined in the action with an unassisted goal to give PC a comfortable 2-0 advantage at intermission.

In the second half the tandem of Pradilla and Stille delivered with a pair of insurance goals to seal the victory. Pradilla struck first at the 66th minute as newcomer JON REINERT connected with the forward for his first career assist. Stille capped the scoring 20 minutes later with an unassisted goal for good measure.

Anchoring the defensive effort was freshman goalkeeper BRIAN GAID who notched his first career shutout in a PC uniform. The newcomer stymied EHC's scoring opportunities after the Piedmont backfield allowed only a single shot on goal for the duration of the contest.

PC, who now moves to 1-1 on the young season, will return to action again on Saturday, September 6th as they travel to South Region foe Bridgewater College in Bidgewater, VA with kick-off slated for 4:00.
